Creating a book of blank pages might sound daunting, but it's surprisingly simple with the right tools and resources. Here's how I do it in 4 easy steps:
1. Design with Canva: Canva is a user-friendly design platform that allows you to create beautiful and professional-looking pages, blank or otherwise increasing it's value for the reader. You can easily add text, images, and other elements to customize or brand your book's interior. You will want to understand page size and bleed.
2. Format with Tangent Templates: This is my secret weapon! Tangent Templates is an invaluable tool for ensuring your files are perfectly sized and formatted for Amazon KDP dimensions. It takes the guesswork out of the process and saves you tons of time. It's an ever-growing library of video training, templates and resources for just $60 - the best value out there! Tangent Templates, I honestly wouldn't do this without it and I've learned so much from their facebook community.
3. Publish with Amazon KDP: Once your design is complete, upload it to Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). KDP makes self-publishing a breeze. You'll need to create a cover, write a compelling title and description, and choose relevant keywords to help people find your book. The review process usually takes a few days. Once published you can upload a new manuscript and/or cover should your skills improve and you want to make revisions. You can easily update errors that slip through the editing process.
4. Promote Your Book: After your book goes live, it's time to spread the word! Share it with your audience on social media, your website, and through email. Amazon also offers promotional tools you can utilize.
Low Cost: Self-publishing with KDP is very affordable. You set your own pricing (cost + royalties).
Easy Distribution: Amazon handles printing and shipping.
On-Demand Printing: No need to worry about inventory.
Promo Copies: You can order author copies at cost to send to clients or reviewers.
Passive Income: Earn royalties on every sale.
For my ad graphics, I use a platform called PlaceIt, they offer thousands of mockups on many products as well as a video and logo creation service, all for a low $89 annual plan.
